On the night of August 5, a Russian ballistic attack completely destroyed a logistics complex belonging to the PUMA brand in Ukraine. The incident was part of a large-scale strike on Kyiv and the surrounding region carried out by Russia using missiles and drones.
Total destruction of the warehouse and business consequences
Representatives of PUMA confirmed that the logistics center, where the brand's goods were stored, was completely destroyed. Fortunately, the PUMA Ukraine team was not harmed by the attack. However, in the coming weeks, and possibly months, Ukraine may experience shortages of certain PUMA products.
The company has already begun working to resume supplies. PUMA representatives stated that they are making every effort to ensure the availability of the assortment on the market as quickly as possible.
Massive strike on Kyiv: the scale of the tragedy
On the night of August 5, Russia launched 28 ballistic missiles and 115 drones against Ukraine. Air defense forces were unable to shoot down any of the ballistic missiles, leading to significant destruction in Kyiv and the region.
PUMA was not the only business affected by the attack. As a result of the strikes, the sorting center of "Nova Poshta" was destroyed, killing three people. The main warehouse of the ROZETKA network and facilities of the "Epitsentr" company were also hit.
Human casualties and destruction
In Kyiv, people were killed and dozens injured as a result of the attack. The massive strike was one of the most destructive in recent times, affecting not only infrastructure but also the lives of ordinary citizens.
The situation remains tense, and the restoration of destroyed facilities will require time and significant resources. At the same time, companies like PUMA continue to work on minimizing the consequences for consumers.
