Owners of vehicles with diesel engines have received long-awaited news: at some major gas stations in Ukraine, fuel prices have started to decrease. On Friday, May 29, the market reacted to changes, and price tags for diesel fuel (DF) became softer.

The decrease did not affect all market players, but the changes are noticeable for those who are used to refueling at top networks. The main news of the day came from two major operators — WOG and OKKO. They were the first to meet drivers halfway by adjusting the cost of their products.

Who lowered prices and by how much?

At WOG and OKKO gas stations, both premium and standard diesel became cheaper. Now it has become more profitable to refuel by 1 hryvnia per liter:

  • Premium diesel (grades DF Pulls and DF Mustang) now costs 91.90 UAH instead of the previous 92.90 UAH.
  • Standard Eurodiesel has become cheaper from 89.90 UAH to 88.90 UAH.

It should be noted that gasoline positions at these stations remained unchanged, so the benefit concerns exclusively owners of diesel vehicles.

Why didn't all networks become cheaper?

The fuel market is heterogeneous, and the reaction of networks to the situation is different. For example, at SOCAR gas stations, prices froze at the level of previous days. Here, diesel remains one of the most expensive offers: standard DF NANO costs 89.99 UAH, and premium NANO Extro — 92.99 UAH.

The leader in affordability remains the state company "Ukrnafta". Traditionally offering the lowest prices, it did not change its conditions. At their stations, standard and premium diesel can still be purchased for 86.90 UAH per liter.

Thus, if you are looking for the most profitable gas station, "Ukrnafta" remains the leader. However, for those who prefer the service and quality of WOG or OKKO, the price reduction has become a pleasant bonus, allowing you to save a little on trips.
