On the morning of July 22, the Ukrainian fuel market reacted again to changing market conditions: an increase in fuel costs was recorded at leading gas station networks. The most noticeable changes for motorists occurred in the diesel fuel segment and premium gasoline grades.
Owners of vehicles with diesel engines felt the price spike first. The market situation is characterized by divergent actions by the largest networks, creating a significant gap in the cost of a full tank even for the same type of fuel.
Sharp spike at WOG
The WOG network demonstrated the most aggressive pricing policy. While gasoline and branded fuel types increased by 1.4 hryvnias here, diesel fuel became more expensive by a full 3 hryvnias per liter. This particularly concerns popular diesel grades like Mustang and Euro-5, which showed the highest price increase among all market offerings.
Price increase at OKKO
Competitors at the OKKO network also adjusted their price lists. Here, the increase was smoother: the cost of all gasoline and diesel types rose by an average of 1 hryvnia. This allowed the network to maintain a more stable price compared to WOG, although the trend of rising prices remains common across the market.
Policy of "Ukranafte" and SOCAR
The state-owned "Ukranafte" network traditionally maintains the position of the most affordable fuel. This time, the company adjusted prices selectively, raising the cost of only A-92 gasoline by 1 hryvnia. Other fuel types remained at the previous level.
The SOCAR network is currently maintaining a pause in its pricing policy. At the moment, prices for all fuel types in this network remain unchanged, making it attractive for those seeking stable prices.
Autogas and the final difference
In the alternative fuel segment, the situation remains calm. The cost of autogas at key gas stations across the country has not changed. At OKKO, WOG, and SOCAR stations, it holds at 41.90 UAH per liter, while at "Ukranafte" it is 38.40 UAH.
The cumulative effect of the difference in network pricing becomes noticeable when calculating a full tank. If we compare the cost of refueling 50 liters of standard A-95 gasoline between the cheapest and the most expensive network, the difference amounts to 250 hryvnias. For regular trips, this sum can become a significant expense item.
