Modern agribusiness is increasingly facing the need to digitize processes that were traditionally carried out "on paper" or in stationary offices. A striking example of such a transition is the TAS Agro agriholding, which, together with the technology company MODUS X (part of the DTEK Group), implemented the DEEP mobile platform for managing personnel issues.
From paper routine to smartphone
The main goal of the implementation was to create convenient conditions for the daily work of employees. According to Natalia Korol from TAS Agro, the choice fell on DEEP because it is a ready-made enterprise solution, already tested on 60,000 users within the DTEK Group itself.
The platform solves several tasks at once: eliminates paper routine, simplifies personnel accounting, and allows management to be closer to people. Now, document flow has been completely transferred to smartphones. Employees can arrange vacations, obtain certificates, and approve documents, whether they are in the office or directly in the field.
Specifics of agribusiness
Digital transformation at TAS Agro takes into account the unique features of the industry. More than 60% of the holding's team works on farms, elevators, and in the fields. For such employees as tractor drivers, milking machine operators, and dryer operators, stationary computers and corporate accounts are often unavailable or inconvenient.
"We designed DEEP as a 'company in a smartphone' — a platform for organizations where the employee does not sit at a PC every day and does not have a corporate account," noted Irina Godovanyuk, Head of the Commercial Activities Department at MODUS X.
Implementation results
The reality of the agricultural sector, with its dozens of locations, seasonal peaks, and thousands of people in the fields, became an ideal case for testing the platform. In the first one and a half months of use, more than a thousand TAS Agro employees registered in the application. They used the platform's functionality more than 6,700 times.
Irina Godovanyuk emphasized that a solution capable of withstanding high loads has been deployed for TAS Agro. This project demonstrates how technologies can adapt to the specifics of working away from offices, making personnel management more flexible and efficient.
