The Basketball Superleague regular season round 2 match between Dnipro and Kyiv-Basket on October 11, 2026, could not be completed due to a prolonged air raid alert. This is the second consecutive match of the Dnipro team that had to be urgently postponed due to shelling threats.

Course of the Interrupted Match in Dnipro

The game took place at the home arena of the Dnipro club, the Shynnyk sports complex. The teams managed to play the first half of the match and start the third quarter, but could not continue athletic competition due to siren sounds and the announcement of an air raid alert in the region.

At the time of the stoppage, the guests from the capital (Kyiv-Basket) were confidently ahead of the hosts with a score of 45:37. Exactly 7 minutes and 10 seconds of playing time remained until the official end of the third quarter. Due to the prolonged air attack threat, tournament organizers made the decision to interrupt the game and postpone the remainder of the match to another reserve day.

Background and Superleague Calendar Crisis

The day before, on October 10, a similar air raid alert also prevented the completion of Dnipro's match against Kharkivski Sokoly. That game was stopped just nine seconds before the end of the third quarter, with the Kharkiv team leading minimally at 46:41.

Thus, both opening matches of the Dnipro basketball club within the current Superleague round remained unfinished. Representatives of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine officially reported that exact dates and times for completing both suspended matches will be determined additionally after security stabilization.
