The new workweek began with a divergence in currency rates. While exchange offices preferred to maintain Friday's momentum, the banking sector decided to adjust its price lists. Let's find out where it is most profitable to make a transaction today.

Market Situation: Dollar Stays Put, Euro Rises

According to Minfin portal data, the average dollar rate in exchange offices remained at the weekend level. Buying the "green friend" costs 44.10 hryvnias, while selling is 44 hryvnias. The euro, however, showed a slight increase, adding 5 kopecks on both sides: now it can be bought for 51.65 hryvnias and sold for 51.45 hryvnias.

Banks Lowered Rates

Unlike exchange offices, banks today went for a rate reduction. The average dollar purchase rate in the banking sector was 44.43 hryvnias (minus 1 kopeck), and the sale rate was 43.92 hryvnias (minus 6 kopecks). The euro also became cheaper: the average purchase rate dropped to 51.67 hryvnias, and the sale rate to 51.07 hryvnias.
