The Ukrainian currency market is once again showing signs of growth. The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) officially raised the exchange rates for the US dollar and the euro for Friday, June 26. After several days of decline, the main Western currencies have once again increased in value against the national hryvnia.

New Official Exchange Rates

According to the regulator, on June 26, the official exchange rate for the US dollar was set at 44.92 hryvnias. Compared to the previous working day, the American currency increased by 6 kopecks.

The euro also showed positive dynamics. The official exchange rate for the European currency was 50.92 hryvnias, which is 4 kopecks higher than the previous day's figure.

Trends and Forecasts

Although both major currencies have returned to moderate growth, the current changes remain insignificant. Experts note that market volatility persists, and the exchange rate dynamics will depend on a combination of external and internal factors.

Sergei Mamedov, Vice President of the Association of Ukrainian Banks and Chairman of the Board of "Globus Bank," commented on the situation for RBC-Ukraine. According to his assessment, several key factors will determine the situation in the currency market in the second half of 2026. It is precisely the combination of these variables that will become the main driver of the hryvnia exchange rate dynamics until the end of the year.
