Dollar and Euro Rise Again: Where Is It Most Profitable to Buy Currency in Ukrainian Banks

After several days of relative stability in Ukraine's currency market, the dollar has started to rise in price in most banks. The euro has also begun to increase in value both in banking institutions and at exchange offices. We analyze where you can find the best buying and selling rates for currency today.

Market Situation: Minfin Data

According to the Minfin portal, the average dollar rate at exchange offices remained unchanged. On average, the American currency can be bought for 44.95 hryvnias and sold for 44.85 hryvnias.

The euro has moved to growth. The average buying rate is 51.50 hryvnias (+5 kopecks), and the selling rate is 51.30 hryvnias (+10 kopecks).

Rates in Major Banks

The average dollar rate in major banks today is 44.68 UAH for buying (+5 kopecks) and 45.20 UAH for selling (+9 kopecks). Banks buy the euro at an average of 50.99 UAH (+15 kopecks) and sell it at 51.56 UAH (-9 kopecks).

The dollar has become more expensive in most large banks, while the euro has changed in different directions depending on the institution.

Rates in Specific Banks

PrivatBank: sells the dollar in branches at 45.10 hryvnias (+10 kopecks). The card rate is 45.24 hryvnias (+20 kopecks). The euro in branches costs 51.40 hryvnias (+5 kopecks), and the card rate is 51.54 hryvnias (+26 kopecks).

Oschadbank: sells the dollar in the app at 45.15 hryvnias (+10 kopecks), and for card operations at 45.25 hryvnias (+10 kopecks). The euro in "Mobile Oschad" costs 51.40 hryvnias (+5 kopecks), and the card rate is 51.60 hryvnias (+15 kopecks).

PUMB: sells the dollar at the commercial rate for 45.10 hryvnias (unchanged), and in cash desks for 45.30 hryvnias (unchanged). The euro in branches costs 51.80 hryvnias (unchanged).

Monobank: sells the dollar at 45.21 hryvnias (+17 kopecks). The buying rate is 44.71 hryvnias (+11 kopecks). The bank sells the euro at 51.50 hryvnias (+23 kopecks) and buys it at 50.81 hryvnias (+16 kopecks).

Where Is It Most Profitable to Buy and Sell Currency?

Dollar: The cheapest place to buy American currency today is PUMB at the commercial rate — 45.10 UAH (unchanged). PrivatBank offers the same rate in its branches. In Oschadbank, the dollar costs 45.15 UAH, and in Monobank — 45.21 UAH.

Euro: You can buy the European currency cheaply today at PrivatBank and Oschadbank — at 51.40 UAH in branches and "Mobile Oschad". At Monobank, the rate is 51.50 UAH, and at PUMB — 51.80 UAH.

Buying Dollars: The best rate for buying dollars today is offered by Oschadbank — 44.80 UAH. At PUMB, the currency is bought at the commercial rate for 44.80 UAH, at Monobank — 44.71 UAH, and at PrivatBank — 44.65 UAH.

Buying Euros: It is most profitable to sell the European currency today at PUMB — at 51.10 UAH. At Oschadbank, the buying rate is 50.85 UAH, at Monobank — 50.81 UAH, and at PrivatBank — 50.80 UAH.
