Double blow to Kryvyi Rih: new casualties and massive fires after drone attacks

On the night of July 4, Kryvyi Rih became the target of a double attack by Russian forces. The city was struck by Shahed-type drones, resulting in casualties and massive fires at industrial facilities. The situation in the city remains tense, with emergency services working in an enhanced mode.

First wave of the attack: casualties and destruction

According to Alexander Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, the first attack occurred in the early morning. Russian forces launched a series of attack drones at the city. The main target was a large industrial facility.

As a result of a direct hit, two people died. The enterprise suffered serious damage, as well as elements of the city's infrastructure. Vilkul warned residents that the threat of repeated strikes remains and urged them to strictly follow safety rules during air raids.

Second attack and fires

Despite warnings, Russian forces did not cease shelling. Shortly after the first strike, a second wave of drone attacks followed.

"Another chess attack on an industrial enterprise in the city. There is a fire. An emergency rescue operation has been launched," Vilkul reported in his Telegram channel. Firefighters and rescuers are working at the scene trying to contain the fires.

Strikes on the Nikopol district

The attacks were not limited to Kryvyi Rih alone. Russian forces launched drone strikes on the Nikopol district, specifically targeting the city of Nikopol and the Manganetska community.

As a result of the shelling, a 66-year-old man was killed. An administrative building, several private homes, outbuildings, and a truck were damaged.

Situation in the city

Despite ongoing threats and destruction, critical infrastructure in Kryvyi Rih continues to operate. Hospitals, social institutions, public transport, and emergency services remain functional.

Recall that this is not the first attack on the city in recent days. On the night of July 3, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Kryvyi Rih. The missiles hit an area of dense residential construction between high-rise buildings, resulting in seven injuries, three of whom were urgently hospitalized.
