Around 16:00 in Zaporizhzhia, a new attack by Russian drones took place. The target of the strike was a food industry enterprise. As a result of the attack, a large-scale fire broke out, engulfing production facilities and parked cars.
Official information was confirmed by the Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov. In his Telegram channel, he stated that the columns of smoke rising over the city were a direct consequence of an enemy strike on a civilian object.
Casualties and destruction
The situation at the scene developed rapidly. While there was no information about casualties in the first minutes after the attack, an hour later it became known that there were injured people. According to the latest data, four people were injured as a result of the incident. The Russian drone caused significant damage to the infrastructure: a production facility was destroyed, and expensive equipment was damaged.
Series of strikes on the city
This is not the only attack on Zaporizhzhia in recent days. The city has become the target of regular strikes by Russian aviation and drones:
- July 21: Strikes by Russian aviation bombs (KAB) on residential quarters resulted in the deaths of three people, and another 13 were injured.
- July 19: As a result of a similar attack, two people died, and at least ten were injured.
Events of recent days demonstrate the high intensity of shelling of both industrial and residential areas of the region, which creates a threat to the lives of the civilian population and the operation of critically important enterprises.
