On Wednesday, October 28, Russian invaders launched an attack on an Ukrnafta gas station complex in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This was reported by Bogdan Kukura, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Ukrnafta, whose statement was cited by RBC-Ukraine. According to him, the facility was attacked by an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle, resulting in one person being injured.

Circumstances of the attack

As Kukura explained, the drone hit a car that was exiting the gas station complex at the time of the strike. The station client inside the car sustained shrapnel wounds. The victim was taken to a hospital, where they are receiving necessary medical assistance. The head of the company called the incident "another Russian attack on civilian infrastructure."

Damage to the building and equipment

As a result of the shelling, the capital building of the gas station complex and its equipment were damaged. Relevant services are working at the scene. Upon completion of their work, as Ukrnafta specified, damage assessment will be carried out and a decision on restoring the facility will be made. The company stated that it will restore the damaged property and continue operations.

Part of a series of attacks on fuel infrastructure

The incident in the Dnipropetrovsk region is part of an ongoing series of attacks on civilian fuel infrastructure. Recently, Russian invaders attacked an Ukrnafta gas station complex in the Khmelnytskyi region, where an employee was injured in the shelling. In addition, last month Ukrnafta gas stations in Kyiv were targeted: three people were injured at the time, and several fires broke out at the facilities.

Ukrnafta's position

The company emphasizes that Russia continues to attack peaceful infrastructure that ensures normal human livelihoods. Despite the damage, Ukrnafta intends to restore the damaged property and not stop the network's operations. The situation at the site remains under the control of specialized services, and final data on the scale of the damage will be announced after their work is completed.
