A new war crime occurred in the center of Kherson on the afternoon of July 9. Russian occupiers attacked a minibus carrying passengers with a drone. The strike hit a densely populated area of the city, leading to serious consequences for civilians.

According to Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration, the attack was carried out around 13:40. "Another war crime by Russian occupiers in the very center of Kherson. Around 13:40, the enemy treacherously attacked a minibus with passengers using a drone," the official stated in his Telegram channel.
Preliminary data indicates that 8 people were injured as a result of the explosion. All of them sustained severe injuries: blast and closed traumatic brain injuries, concussions, and shrapnel wounds. The injured are currently under the supervision of medical professionals. The exact number of casualties and the extent of the destruction are being clarified.
Series of attacks on public transport
This is not the first case of an attack on civilian transport in Kherson in recent days. On the morning of July 8, Russian occupiers used drones twice against cars and minibuses in the Korabelny district of the city. As a result of these strikes, a woman was killed, and 9 others were injured.
Particular attention is drawn to the condition of public transport drivers. In one instance, a bus driver suffered a concussion, and the vehicle itself was severely damaged. Such attacks pose a threat not only to passengers but also to those ensuring their transportation.
Previous incidents
The situation in Kherson remains tense. On July 1, a Russian drone hit a minibus in the city. At that time, two tax office employees were injured, and a child was killed. These events highlight the systematic nature of attacks on civilian objects and the peaceful population.
