DTEK Grids distribution system operators (DSOs) transferred 4.4 billion UAH in tax payments to the state and local budgets of Ukraine for the period from January to September 2026. This figure shows a steady growth dynamic, exceeding last year's figures by 9%, which confirms the stability of the energy holding's operations in current economic conditions.
Structure of budget revenues
The bulk of tax payments was directed to the state budget, totaling 3.6 billion UAH. The remaining 0.8 billion UAH replenished the local community budgets in regions where the company operates, including Kyiv, the Kyiv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, and the Donbas. These funds are critical for financing social programs, ensuring the operation of educational and medical institutions, and conducting emergency restoration work on damaged infrastructure.
Business resilience in wartime
DTEK Grids CEO Alina Bondarenko emphasized that the increase in tax payments is a direct consequence of responsible business management. Despite constant threats to energy infrastructure due to military actions, the company's operators continue to ensure uninterrupted electricity distribution for millions of citizens. Consistent fulfillment of obligations to the state contributes to strengthening the country's economic resilience during wartime.
Scale of investments in the Ukrainian economy
In addition to current tax payments, DTEK maintains a high level of participation in the recovery and development of the state. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the total volume of investments directed by Rinat Akhmetov's energy holding into the Ukrainian economy has reached 2.4 billion EUR. Previously, experts and analytical agencies recognized DTEK as a leader in terms of private investment in maintaining the viability of the Ukrainian economy during the most challenging period of modern history.
Significance for the future
The stable performance of DTEK Grids DSOs plays a key role in maintaining the functionality of critical infrastructure. The increase in tax revenues demonstrates the company's ability not only to adapt to extreme conditions but also to continue contributing to public security and the state's defense capability. The company's future plans remain focused on ensuring energy supply to consumers and supporting regional economic stability, which is essential for restoring full life in the affected communities.
