Emergency power outages have begun in the Izyum hromada of the Kharkiv region. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement from the Izyum City Military Administration.
Scale of the problem
Power supply issues began around noon. Initially, blackouts were recorded in five villages of the hromada: Kramarivtsi, Zabavne, Fedorivka, Iskra, and Hlynke. Additionally, Stepana Street in Izyum itself was left without electricity.
Subsequently, the scale of the outages expanded. Power was lost in two more settlements of the community — the villages of Levkivka and Ivanivka.
Work of specialists
While the causes of the emergency situation are being established, specialists from Kharkivoblenergo are already working at the accident sites to determine what caused the blackout and to restore power to residents' homes as quickly as possible.
Later, the City Military Administration reported the resumption of power supply in Levkivka and Ivanivka.
Context of the situation
Recall that on July 8, due to Russian shelling, power supply disruptions were recorded in the Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and Mykolaiv regions.
Previously, on July 6, as a result of Russian attacks, certain districts of the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia regions were left without power.
In addition, emergency power outages were introduced in the Poltava region due to bad weather. At that time, about three thousand consumers in four hromadas were temporarily left without power.
Also, on July 3, emergency power outage schedules were temporarily in effect in Kyiv and a number of regions of Ukraine. They were introduced due to record electricity consumption caused by heat, as well as overloading of energy equipment.
