The evening of Tuesday, June 30, became a time of unexpected changes in energy supply for Kyiv residents. Users began receiving notifications about emergency power outages via the "Kyiv.Digital" mobile application. The messages state that temporary schedules for stabilization outages are being introduced in the city.
Official confirmation is pending
At the time of publication, neither DTEK nor Yasno had confirmed the introduction of emergency outages in the capital. This means that the information disseminated through the digital application does not yet have official status from the energy companies.
Reason — overload of the power system
The situation is developing against the backdrop of anomalously hot weather and a sharp increase in electricity consumption across Ukraine. On June 30, "Ukrenergo" had already introduced hourly restrictions for industry, business, and household consumers. The power system is operating under increased load, forcing the regulator to take operational measures.
Continuation of restrictions expected
"Ukrenergo" warned that similar measures will be in effect on July 1 as well. Hourly outages for all categories of consumers are scheduled from 17:00 to 22:00. This means that residents of Kyiv and other regions should be prepared for possible power supply interruptions during evening hours.
The situation remains dynamic. Residents are advised to follow official sources of information and prepare for possible outages, especially during peak load hours.
