Unfortunately, cases of fatalities due to ammunition explosions are not isolated. In September 2025, an explosion occurred in one of the apartment buildings in Kyiv. At that time, two men died — the 38-year-old owner of the apartment and his 46-year-old guest. A third participant in the incident was hospitalized with injuries. In that case, the police initiated a criminal proceeding under the article on intentional murder, noting it as an accidental death.

Another high-profile incident occurred in February 2026 in Dnipro. An ammunition item exploded during a demonstration at a local lyceum, resulting in injuries to children.
