FC Dynamo Kyiv has officially ended its summer break and begun active preparations for the new season. On Sunday, June 14, the capital club departed for a summer training camp, which will mark the start of work on the 2026/2027 season.
Itinerary and squad composition
The "white-and-blues" will travel through Moldova: the team will first take a bus to Chisinau, and from there fly by plane to Austria. It is there that the main stage of preparation will take place under the guidance of head coach Igor Kostyuk.
34 footballers have departed for the Austrian camp. The coaching staff has formed an extended squad, which will allow for high-quality work ahead of the start of the season.
Goals and friendly matches
The main goal of the current stage is preparation for the UEFA Europa League qualifying matches. It is with these that Dynamo will begin the new official season. As part of the preparation, several friendly matches against European opponents of various levels are scheduled.
The club emphasizes that the schedule of friendly matches and the list of opponents may be adjusted — both changes in dates and the addition of new teams are possible.
The European path: from the first round to the main stage
As the holder of the Ukrainian Cup, Dynamo will begin its European campaign in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. To reach the group stage of the tournament, the team must successfully pass four qualifying rounds. In the event of failure at any stage, the Kyivians will drop into the UEFA Conference League.
In the draw for the first round, the "white-and-blues" will have seeded status. Among the possible opponents are six unseeded teams. The draw is scheduled for June 16, and the matches of the first stage will take place on July 9 and 16.
