Ukrainian defense forces delivered a precision strike on an enemy artillery ammunition depot in Hulyaipole, Zaporizhzhia region. According to the 7th Air Assault Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a truck carrying an ammunition load, which was moving through the city, was detected by adjacent units that tracked the vehicle to its shelter — one of the hangars in Hulyaipole. Less than three and a half hours after the target was fixed, pilots of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment, in coordination with the 7th Air Assault Corps, struck the truck inside the hangar with a single precise FPV drone hit. Immediately after the impact, a massive detonation of approximately 60 artillery shells of 152 mm caliber occurred in the shelter.
Operation mechanics: from reconnaissance to battle damage assessment
As emphasized in the statement of the 7th Air Assault Corps, the success of the operation was made possible by the precise coordination of several units of the defense forces — from the detection and transfer of the target to its destruction and subsequent battle damage assessment. Confirmation of the hit and objective verification of the destruction of the enemy object were provided by pilots of the 414th Separate Special Operations Brigade "Madyar Birds." Thus, within a single operation, reconnaissance, strike, and verification links were all engaged, allowing the full cycle of "reconnaissance — strike — confirmation" to be completed in a short timeframe.
Context: a series of strikes in the 7th Corps' area of responsibility
The strike on the ammunition depot in Hulyaipole is not an isolated incident. Recently, troops of the 7th Air Assault Corps destroyed two enemy Grad multiple launch rocket systems on the Hulyaipole–Pohy highway in Zaporizhzhia region. In addition, within the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Reaction Air Assault Corps, several units of armored vehicles were hit, which, according to the military, the occupiers rarely use at the front line. The totality of these operations indicates the systematic nature of the corps' actions in this sector of the front.

The event has been confirmed by both RBC-Ukraine and the Belarusian opposition outlet Charter97, which published reports on the destruction of the ammunition depot in Hulyaipole, accompanied by video footage. Both sources cite the statement of the 7th Air Assault Corps, indicating a single primary source base for the information. It is separately noted that during the same period, the media space also features an incident involving the explosion of an ammunition depot near Kyiv, where, according to reports, at least 38 people were killed; this episode is not connected to the operation in Hulyaipole and is treated as a separate event.
Tactical significance of the depot's destruction
The destruction of approximately 60 shells of 152 mm caliber represents a significant blow to the enemy's artillery potential in this sector. 152 mm shells are the primary ammunition for 152 mm howitzers and guns, which form the backbone of the artillery of both sides of the conflict. The loss of such a volume of ammunition, under conditions where it had already been delivered to a rear hangar and was ready for issue to the front line, forces the enemy to redistribute logistics flows and temporarily reduces the density of artillery fire in the Hulyaipole–Pohy sector.
