British promoter Frank Warren has publicly urged Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk to return to the professional ring and continue writing heavyweight history. According to Sport RBC.UA, citing the British newspaper Daily Mail, Warren stated that his company, Queensberry Promotions, is ready to organize bouts for the Ukrainian against the division's leading fighters. "If Alexander wants to create even more history in boxing, Queensberry is the only place he should turn. The doors to all our fighters are not just open—they are off their hinges," the promoter emphasized.
Usyk Has Not Retired, But Vacated All Titles
Recall that Oleksandr Usyk previously voluntarily relinquished all undisputed heavyweight championship belts, explaining his decision by wanting to give a new generation of boxers the opportunity to compete for the division's top accolades. At the same time, the Ukrainian has not officially announced the end of his professional career, leaving room for a potential return. Throughout his career, Usyk has defeated Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, and twice overcame Daniel Dubois, making him one of the most sought-after figures in modern boxing.
Queensberry Sets Sights on the US Market and Madison Square Garden
In addition to calling out to Usyk, Frank Warren revealed plans to expand Queensberry's operations into the US market. The promoter aims to organize large-scale boxing cards featuring top heavyweights, notably at the legendary Madison Square Garden arena in New York. Among potential participants in such bouts, Warren named Daniel Dubois, Fabio Wardley, Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Moses Itauma, Filip Hrgovic, and Agit Kabayel. The promoter expressed hope that winners and possibly participants of future title fights will form a busy schedule for 2027.
Jared Anderson Part of the US Strategy
As part of its development in the United States, Queensberry has signed American heavyweight boxer Jared Anderson, whom Warren views as an important part of his long-term plans. Signing Anderson allows the company to strengthen its position in the US and establish a local base for organizing major events.
An Invitation, Not an Agreement
It is important to emphasize that Frank Warren's statement is a public invitation to cooperate, not a confirmation of a reached agreement regarding Oleksandr Usyk's next fight. At the time of publication, no official announcements regarding a fight featuring the Ukrainian had been made. Earlier, Sport RBC.UA reported that Usyk is preparing two "last dances" for 2027, which indirectly confirms his intention to continue competing, albeit in a limited format.
