As of Monday, August 10, 2026, the automotive fuel market in Ukraine demonstrates relative stability at the beginning of the week. However, a significant cost-saving factor remains for drivers: the price difference for the same type of fuel at different gas stations remains substantial. Price analysis shows that depending on the choice of gas station network, car owners may overpay more than 5 UAH per liter of gasoline or diesel fuel.
Gasoline A-95: from 79.90 to 85.40 UAH
The lowest price for basic A-95 gasoline as of August 10 is fixed at the state network "Ukrnafta" gas stations — 79.90 UAH per liter. This makes it the most attractive option for those seeking the minimum fuel cost. Private networks offer fuel slightly more expensive, but within the average market segment: at OKKO gas stations, the cost is 82.90 UAH/l, and at WOG — 83.50 UAH/l.
The most expensive offer in the A-95 gasoline market remains the SOCAR network, where the price reaches 85.40 UAH per liter. Thus, the gap between the cheapest and the most expensive network is 5.50 UAH, which, when filling a 50-liter tank, results in an overpayment of 275 UAH.
Diesel fuel and autogas: discrepancies in tariffs
The situation with diesel fuel (DF) repeats the trend of the gasoline segment. The minimum price is held by "Ukrnafta" — 89.90 UAH/l. The largest private networks WOG and OKKO offer diesel at 93.80 UAH/l and 93.90 UAH/l, respectively. The leader in the highest price is again SOCAR with a price tag of 95.90 UAH/l. The difference between the market leaders in diesel price is 6 UAH per liter.
In the autogas (propane-butane) segment, the price spread is also noticeable, although on a smaller scale. The cheapest place to refuel is at "Ukrnafta" — 42.90 UAH/l. The OKKO and SOCAR networks offer gas at 43.90 UAH/l, and the highest price tag in this segment was set by the WOG network — 44.50 UAH/l. The difference in autogas cost reaches almost 2 UAH per liter.
Contradictory data
Although current data records price stability at the beginning of the week, analytical forecasts and expert assessments contain discrepancies regarding the future of the market. On the one hand, some sources (e.g., materials from July-August) indicate that gasoline at 100 UAH may never appear, and prices may go down. On the other hand, in the context of discussing shortages and price increases (sources from late July), experts warn of the risks of further price hikes to the 100 UAH per liter mark. At the moment, as of August 10, the market is in a state of calm, but the expert community remains divided in forecasts for the second half of August.
Conclusions for car owners
At the moment, the saving strategy for drivers lies in choosing a gas station network. "Ukrnafta" offers the most favorable conditions for all types of fuel, while SOCAR and WOG occupy the premium segment in terms of prices. Given that the price difference can reach 5-6 UAH per liter, a conscious choice of gas station allows significantly reducing car operating expenses in August 2026.
