Natural gas tariffs for household consumers for July have been announced in Ukraine. Data published by the outlet «Gas Pravda» and transmitted to RBC-Ukraine show that the situation in the fuel market remains stable for most citizens, although commercial offers have undergone changes.

Currently, there are eight gas suppliers for the population operating in the country. The market is clearly segmented: four companies work exclusively with annual plans, while the other four offer customers a choice — both fixed annual contracts and flexible monthly offers.

Stability for the majority

Traditionally, basic annual tariffs demonstrate stability. The cost of a cubic meter of gas under annual contracts ranges from 7.96 to 9.99 hryvnias, depending on the chosen company.

The key factor of stability is «Naftogaz». About 98% of Ukrainian families, which amounts to more than 12 million households, use the services of this supplier. For them, the price is fixed at 7.96 hryvnias per cubic meter. This tariff is guaranteed to be in effect for at least until April 30, 2027.

Decrease in market prices

The situation with monthly commercial offers looks different. Unlike stable annual prices, market tariffs in July have decreased compared to June figures. The price range for the current month fluctuates from 8.46 to 27.99 hryvnias per cubic meter.

It is important to note that switching to monthly market prices is possible solely at the consumer's discretion. Legislation and market rules do not give companies the right to unilaterally transfer customers from beneficial annual tariffs to more expensive or unstable monthly conditions.
