The Krasnodar Krai is facing a critical situation regarding the supply of automotive fuel to the population. The sale of gasoline and diesel has been temporarily suspended at some gas stations in the region. The crisis is caused by supply disruptions and abnormally high demand, triggered by rumors of a shortage.

Shortage map: where you can't refuel

According to the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Krai, as of June 10, the situation remains tense. Authorities have recorded a complete suspension of fuel sales at 15 gas stations. The problems have affected not only the administrative center — Krasnodar — but also several adjacent districts:

  • Krasnoarmeysky district;
  • Kushchevsky district;
  • Slavyansky district;
  • Ust-Labinsky district.

The main impact has been on small private gas stations, which were unprepared for the sudden surge in consumer demand. Regional authorities state that companies have already organized additional supplies to stabilize the situation, but the problem persists on the ground.

Panic in Temryuk and queues of 100 cars

Particular attention is drawn to the situation in the Temryuk district, which borders occupied Crimea. Here, despite statements from the operational headquarters about sufficient fuel reserves, massive traffic jams are being recorded. Queues ranging from 20 to 100 cars are forming at seven gas stations in the district.

Authorities claim that fuel is available in Temryuk and is being dispensed in full volume, yet the flow of drivers trying to stock up on gasoline does not subside. Local residents report difficulties with refueling, and videos confirming multi-kilometer traffic jams at the pumps are appearing on social media.

Crisis causes: attacks on infrastructure and export reorientation

The backdrop for the local fuel crisis in the Krasnodar Krai is created by systemic problems in the Russian oil industry. As sources report, the sector is facing serious pressure against the background of reduced domestic refining volumes and disruptions in the energy infrastructure.

The situation is exacerbated by the need to partially redirect the raw material flow from export markets to the domestic market to meet the needs of oil refineries (ORs). A key factor in instability has been attacks on Russian refineries and logistics facilities, which hinder the stability of fuel supplies to the regions.

Social resonance and price hikes

A discussion about a possible long-term shortage is heating up in local Telegram channels and chats. Users complain not only about the lack of fuel in tanks but also about the disappearance of popular gasoline brands. Against the backdrop of panic, there is a sharp increase in demand for more expensive types of fuel, which creates additional pressure on the market and provokes speculation.
