The automotive fuel market in Ukraine continues to show instability. On Monday, June 1, major gas station operators updated their price tags. While some networks maintained the status quo, others proceeded with targeted adjustments to the cost of gasoline and diesel fuel.

According to RBC-Ukraine, most popular networks left retail prices unchanged. However, against the backdrop of general stability, divergent movements in fuel costs were observed among individual market players.

Decrease in diesel fuel prices

The SOCAR network demonstrated notable dynamics. The operator decided to lower the cost of diesel fuel. Now, ordinary DТ NANO costs 88.99 UAH/l, and the premium version DТ NANO Extro costs 91.99 UAH/l. Thus, both types of fuel became exactly 1 hryvnia cheaper.

A similar strategy in the diesel segment was chosen by the state company "Ukrnafta". Despite showing divergent dynamics for different types of fuel, prices in the diesel segment decreased. The cost of DТ (Energy) dropped to 87.90 UAH/l, and standard diesel fuel is now offered at a price of 85.90 UAH/l. In both cases, the decrease amounted to 1 hryvnia.

Gasoline price increase

While diesel fuel is becoming cheaper, owners of gasoline-consuming vehicles may face increased expenses. "Ukrnafta" increased the price of 95 (Energy) grade gasoline. The price of this type of fuel rose by 2 hryvnias and now stands at 76.90 UAH/l.

Stability in the market

The largest market players, OKKO and WOG networks, preferred not to change their pricing policy. The cost of all types of fuel and autogas at their stations remained at the level of last Friday. This allows drivers accustomed to these networks to plan their refueling budget without accounting for sudden price spikes.
