Monday, May 25, marked a day of change at Ukrainian gas stations. The state-owned network "Ukrnafta" adjusted its price list after the weekend: some types of fuel became more expensive, while others became cheaper. Specifically, gasoline prices increased, while liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) became cheaper.

What Changed at Gas Stations?

According to RBC-Ukraine, the changes affected not only "Ukrnafta" but also other networks. Gasoline grades A-92, A-95, and A-96 increased in price by an average of 0.5–1.2 hryvnias per liter. Diesel fuel remained stable or saw a slight increase in certain regions. However, LPG (propane-butane) became cheaper by 0.8–1.5 hryvnias—a rare occurrence under current conditions.

Why Is This Happening?

Experts attribute these fluctuations to global oil price dynamics, the exchange rate of the hryvnia, and logistical costs. Meanwhile, wholesale fuel prices have been falling in recent weeks, creating conditions for potential retail price reductions in the near future. Forecast: fluctuations within 1–2 hryvnias in either direction.

Advice for Drivers

If you use LPG, now is the best time to refuel. For gasoline vehicles, it's worth comparing prices across different gas stations: the difference between networks can reach 2–3 hryvnias per liter. Keep an eye on promotions and discounts—many networks offer bonuses for card payments or through mobile apps.
