At the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show, Geely unveiled an updated version of the Atlas crossover in the i-HEV LiDAR Edition trim. As the name suggests, the vehicle received a hybrid powertrain and a substantially upgraded Qianli Haohan H5 autonomous driving system, which now integrates a LiDAR unit. In doing so, the manufacturer simultaneously strengthened two key areas — energy efficiency and the level of driver assistance — making the new model one of the most technologically advanced versions of the lineup to date.
Design and dimensions
Exterior-wise, the Geely Atlas follows the brand's signature Mountain and River Spirit design concept. The crossover measures 4730 × 1910 × 1710 mm with a wheelbase of 2785 mm. Structurally, the model retains conventional door handles and features multi-spoke wheel rims as a design accent. In terms of proportions, the car is aimed at the mid-size crossover segment, where its direct competitor in buyers' perception is the Toyota RAV4, which the Geely Atlas matches or surpasses in a number of specifications.
Interior and multimedia system
The interior is executed in a minimalist style and built around a large set of displays: a 15.4-inch central screen with 2.5K resolution, a digital instrument cluster, and a 25.6-inch projection screen with augmented reality support. The media system runs on Flyme Auto, and the hardware platform is based on the in-house 7-nanometer Dragon Eagle One SoC with 16 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash storage. The front seats feature lumbar support adjustment, extendable leg rests, heating, ventilation, a massage function, and speakers in the headrests. The Flyme Sound audio system includes 16 speakers and supports 7.1.2 surround sound.
Hybrid powertrain and autonomous driving
The Atlas i-HEV powertrain is built around a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a claimed thermal efficiency of up to 48.41%. The maximum output of the traction electric motor is 313 hp, making this version the most powerful in the Atlas lineup. In parallel, the Qianli Haohan H5 autonomous driving system has been upgraded: a LiDAR unit has been added to its architecture, expanding the capabilities of the assistance systems in complex traffic scenarios and improving the accuracy of environmental perception.
Model positioning
The combination of a high-efficiency hybrid powertrain, a LiDAR unit, and a flagship multimedia platform allows Geely to position the Atlas i-HEV LiDAR Edition as a technologically advanced option in the mid-size crossover segment. The model is aimed at buyers who value, at the same time, hybrid economy, advanced driving assistance, and a richly equipped interior. Its debut at the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show demonstrated how the manufacturer is developing the Atlas lineup by adding elements previously characteristic of more premium segments.
