According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Defense Forces neutralized 2,500 Russian servicemen on November 1, 2026. As RBC-Ukraine reports, this is the highest daily casualty figure for the enemy since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The previous record was set on October 21, 2026, when, according to Ukrainian command estimates, the Russian army lost 2,250 personnel. Even earlier, on December 19, 2024, the daily maximum was 2,200 people.

Average pace: one soldier every 35 seconds

Calculations by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine show that over the course of a single day on November 1, 2026, the Russian army was losing an average of one soldier every 35 seconds. Within an hour, this figure exceeded one hundred people. To put it into perspective: if casualties had occurred continuously, 2,500 fighters would have been 'written off' in 24 hours — a figure that, according to the Ukrainian command, has never been recorded throughout the entire war.

October 2026: record-breaking month for casualties

October 2026 became a record-breaking month for the Russian army in terms of cumulative losses since the start of the full-scale war. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia lost 54,400 servicemen killed and wounded over the month. The Ukrainian command compares this figure to the population of the Russian city of Vorkuta, which is home to about 55,000 people. Thus, in just one month, the casualties of the Russian army in terms of headcount are comparable to the population of an entire city, and on the very first day of November, the enemy set a new daily anti-record.

Territorial shifts and unmanned systems strikes

October 2026 coincided with noticeable successes by Ukrainian defenders in several directions. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Defense Forces liberated 96.2 square kilometers of territory during the month — 10.4 square kilometers more than the Russian troops managed to capture over the same period. At the same time, the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit 64,807 enemy targets, including 16,796 Russian servicemen. Unmanned Systems Forces Commander Robert 'Magyar' Brovdi called this figure the highest of the entire full-scale war.

Operations of the SBU Alpha Special Operations Center

Significant results in inflicting manpower losses on the enemy were also demonstrated by operators of the SBU Alpha Special Operations Center. In just one week, they neutralized 3,198 occupiers: 2,146 Russian servicemen were killed, and another 1,052 were wounded. These data, according to the Ukrainian side, complement the overall picture of record losses recorded in October and at the beginning of November 2026.

Thus, according to information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the first day of November 2026 was marked by a new daily anti-record of Russian army losses against the backdrop of a record-breaking month in cumulative figures for October. All cited data are based on statements by the Ukrainian military command and have not been independently verified.
