The German Ministry of Defense has confirmed a significant expansion of military aid to Kyiv. Following a meeting in Ramstein, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced the decision to transfer a three-digit number of air-to-air missiles to Ukraine. This decision will provide substantial support to the Ukrainian Air Force amidst the ongoing conflict.

Accelerating Deliveries from National Stocks

Boris Pistorius emphasized that Berlin will not only continue supplying air defense systems but also accelerate the process of transferring guided munitions. Specifically, this concerns IRIS-T SLS and SLM missiles. The minister separately noted that air-to-air missiles will be provided from Germany's own stocks, demonstrating Berlin's readiness to mobilize internal resources to support Kyiv.

Previously, Pistorius had already announced an additional aid package for Ukraine amounting to $400 million. These funds are planned to be directed towards strengthening air defense systems, purchasing munitions, and missiles for Patriot air defense systems.

Support from Allies and Situation Assessment

In the context of international support, it is worth noting the statement by the British Minister of Defense, Dan Jarvis. London also announced the transfer of a new large-scale military aid package to Kyiv, which will include radars, air defense missiles, and domestically produced drones.

Commenting on the current phase of the conflict, Boris Pistorius expressed the opinion that the Russian leadership has reached a dead end. According to him, prolonging the hostilities only exacerbates losses and problems for Russia itself.

Record Indicators on the Front

While Western partners are increasing the volume of aid, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are demonstrating high activity. According to RBC-Ukraine, on June 18, a new record was set for the number of drones launched in a single day. This figure exceeded not only previous Ukrainian maximums but also the largest drone attack carried out by the RF throughout the entire war.
