The wait for gamers worldwide is over: Rockstar Games has officially announced the release date for Grand Theft Auto VI. The game will go on sale on November 19, with pre-orders starting at midnight on June 25. This information has been confirmed on the developers' official website.
Prices and Editions
The base version of GTA VI for next-generation consoles — PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S — will cost $79.99. For those who want to get the most out of the first day of release, an expanded Ultimate Edition is available for $99.99.
Physical copies will be available for purchase on November 12 and will include a code to download the digital version of the game.
Ultimate Edition Exclusives
The main feature of the premium edition is access to content that will not be available to owners of the standard version. Specifically, only Ultimate Edition buyers will receive:
- Full car customization from day one;
- Unlocked access to all tattoo parlors and barbershops in the game;
- Additional content integrated into the story campaign of protagonists Jason and Lucia, as well as the user mode.
Early Bird Bonuses
All players who pre-order or purchase any edition of the game before November 20 will receive the digital Vintage Vice City Pack. This set is a tribute to the cult classic Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and includes:
- A vintage 1955 Vapid Stanier sedan;
- An additional garage in the Ocean Beach district;
- Luxury outfits and hairstyles for both main characters;
- An exclusive weapon skin.
Additionally, early buyers will receive one month of free subscription to the GTA+ service.
Pre-loading and Release Preparation
To allow players to start playing immediately after the launch, Rockstar Games has enabled pre-installation. The digital copy will be available for download on consoles on November 12 — exactly one week before the official release.
The full list of bonuses and differences between editions has been published on the company's official website.
