Today, June 30, the traffic situation in the Kyiv region changed drastically due to anomalous heat. The regional Patrol Police introduced a so-called "heat mode," which imposes serious restrictions on the movement of certain types of transport. This decision was made to protect the road surface from damage caused by high temperatures.
Restrictions came into force at 11:00
According to an official statement from the Press Service of the Patrol Police of the Kyiv region, published in their Telegram channel, the restrictions have been in effect since 11:00 on Tuesday. The ban on movement concerns heavy goods vehicles that create excessive load on the asphalt. The restriction comes into force when the air temperature reaches +28 degrees Celsius or higher.
