The decisive match in the women's singles will be Czech for the first time in Wimbledon history: the title will be contested between Karolina Muchova and Linda Noskova. The match will take place on Saturday, July 11.
For Marta Kostyuk, this semi-final was the second in her career at a Grand Slam tournament. A month ago, she reached this stage at Roland Garros. The 24-year-old Ukrainian made history by becoming the third representative of her country to reach a major semi-final and the second to do so specifically at Wimbledon, following Elina Svitolina (2019 and 2023).
Despite the defeat, as a result of the grass-court major, Marta Kostyuk will update her personal record in the WTA rankings, rising to 11th place.
