Chinese insider Digital Chat Station (DCS) has revealed the full technical specifications of the HONOR Robot Phone. The device, previously known as a concept from the CES 2026 and MWC 2026 exhibitions, will receive commercial status. The official launch in China is scheduled for August 2026. The novelty is positioned as a technological showcase for the brand, combining advanced optics and the most powerful hardware.

Revolutionary Kinematics and Optics

The main feature of the HONOR Robot Phone is a motorized camera module with a mechanical drive providing four degrees of freedom (4DoF). The design is based on a specialized micromotor that is 70% smaller than standard analogues. Upon activation, the module extends from the body, providing mechanical stabilization and dynamic object tracking.

The optical system includes three modules:

  • Main sensor: 200 MP, aperture f/1.6, 23mm equivalent, three-axis gimbal stabilization.
  • Telephoto module: 200 MP with a periscope design.
  • Ultrawide module: 50 MP.

The tuning of image processing algorithms and color reproduction was carried out in collaboration with the German manufacturer of cinematographic equipment, ARRI. The smartphone supports shooting in the ARRI LogC logarithmic profile for professional color grading. Functionality includes AI object tracking, panoramic shooting with axis shift (Spinshot), and Super Steady super-stabilization mode.

Hardware and Battery Life

The device is equipped with a flat OLED display with a diagonal of 6.3–6.4 inches, 1.5K resolution, and ultra-thin symmetrical bezels. Computational power is provided by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, manufactured using a 3-nanometer process.

To ensure the operation of mechanical drives and the high-performance platform, a silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of 6000 mAh is integrated. Fast wired charging with power up to 120 W is supported.

Market Prospects

The HONOR Robot Phone belongs to the ultra-premium segment. Experts note that the optical solutions and sensors used in this model will become the basis for the mass flagship HONOR Magic 9 lineup.
