Kyiv drivers planning trips to the northwest of the capital should be prepared for changes in road conditions. Starting Thursday, June 18, road surface repair work will begin on Hostomel Highway in the Sviatoshyn district. Consequently, traffic on this section will be partially restricted.
Repair work on a key artery
Information regarding the upcoming restrictions was received from the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration (Kyiv City Council). According to the municipal corporation "Kyivavtodor", the initiator of the work is the Road Operation Department (ROD) of the Sviatoshyn district.
Specialists will begin restoring the asphalt concrete pavement. This is a planned measure aimed at maintaining road quality in one of the city's busiest districts. Drivers are strongly advised to plan their routes in advance to avoid potential delays.
The significance of Hostomel Highway
Hostomel Highway is a vital transport artery connecting the northern and northwestern districts of the capital. The road passes through the territories of Berkivets and Pushcha-Vodytsia, forming part of the Sviatoshyn district.
Furthermore, the highway serves as the main entrance to the city of Irpin and is part of the "Kyiv – Kovel" highway. Therefore, any changes to the traffic regime here affect traffic flow not only within the city but also on suburban routes.

Organizers have warned that the schedule for repair work may be adjusted. In the event of deteriorating weather conditions, the timing of the activities may change, requiring drivers to pay extra attention to road signs and information messages.
