It has been revealed who will host the final of the National Selection for Junior Eurovision 2026. The show will be presented by TV presenter and Eurovision commentator Timur Mishonichenko, host of the "Eurovision Ukraine" video blog Anna Tulyeva, and singer Anastasia Dimid, who represented Ukraine at the junior contest in 2023. Thus, this year a third participant joins the usual hosting duo, already familiar to viewers of the selection in a different role — that of a contestant.
The Hosting Trio
Timur Mishonichenko and Anna Tulyeva are familiar figures to viewers of the National Selection: it was they who brought the selection to air in 2023, when Anastasia Dimid was among the contestants. Now the singer, who placed fifth at Junior Eurovision in Nice that season, will try her hand at hosting a national selection for the first time. For Dimid, this is a move from the contestant's stage to the host's chair, making her place in the trio a notable staffing decision by the organizers.
Anastasia Dimid: Preparing for the Broadcast
The singer herself emphasizes that she takes the new task seriously. "I am preparing for the broadcast very responsibly: working on my diction, stage language, and studying the work of professional TV presenters," she said. This statement confirms that for Dimid, hosting is not routine experience but a deliberate professional challenge that she is taking on alongside her music career.
Anna Tulyeva: Fourth National Selection in a Row
For Anna Tulyeva, the upcoming final will be her fourth National Selection in a row as a host. She also reminded viewers that together with Timur Mishonichenko she hosted the selection in 2023, when Anastasia Dimid performed as a contestant. Thus, in 2026 an interesting role swap has taken shape: a former contestant from that season now hosts the show on equal footing with the presenters who once watched her from the sidelines.
September 26 Final: Date Change, Broadcast, and the Road to Malta
The National Selection final will take place on September 26 at 19:00. It was originally planned for September 13, but the date was moved due to a worsening situation. The broadcast will be available on the "Obshchestvenne Kultura" TV channel and website, on junior.eurovision.ua, and on the "Eurovision Ukraine" YouTube channel. The winner will be determined by the combined results of the jury and audience voting, and the winner will earn the right to represent Ukraine at the international Junior Eurovision 2026, which will be held in Malta on October 24 with the participation of representatives from 16 countries.
