Residents of the Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts of Kyiv have been warned about a temporary suspension of hot water supply. Starting June 1, utility services will begin large-scale hydraulic testing of heating networks, which is necessary to prepare the city for winter.

Schedule and duration of the shutdown

Work will be carried out in strict accordance with the schedule approved by the municipal enterprise "KYIVTEPLOENERGO" and coordinated with the Kyiv City State Administration. The restriction period will last two weeks — from June 1 to June 14, 2026, inclusive. During this time, hot water supplies in the specified districts will be completely suspended.

Purpose of preventive work

According to Euro-reconstruction, hydraulic testing is a mandatory stage in the preparation of the heating infrastructure. The main task of the specialists is to identify and promptly eliminate potentially emergency sections of pipelines before the start of the heating season. This will help avoid system failures during the cold season.

Possible risks and actions for residents

During the testing, technical complications may occur: pipe bursts, soil subsidence, or steam leaks. Utility workers urge residents to be vigilant. If such signs are detected, it is necessary to immediately report them to the duty service of the municipal enterprise "KYIVTEPLOENERGO".

Specialists ask citizens to understand the temporary inconveniences, emphasizing that these measures are critical for ensuring the reliable operation of the heating system in the coming winter.
