For individual entrepreneurs (Sole Proprietors) in Ukraine, a convenient way to check the status of budget settlements and the presence of tax debts online is now available. This can be done through the Taxpayer's Electronic Cabinet or the «Dія» mobile app. This was stated by lawyer and partner at Expatpro, Tatyana Yashchenko, in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.

Electronic Cabinet: the main control tool

According to the expert, the most convenient and informative way to get up-to-date data is to use the Taxpayer's Electronic Cabinet. The system includes a special section called «Status of budget settlements». It is here that the balance of all payments for the selected calendar year is displayed, allowing the entrepreneur to track their obligations to the state in real time.

In addition to viewing current data, an official extract on the status of settlements can be ordered through the electronic cabinet. The generated document will automatically appear in the «Incoming/Outgoing Documents» section — in the «Incoming Documents» subsection. This simplifies the document flow and provides the opportunity to have an official report on hand if necessary.

Alternative: the «Dія» app

For those who prefer mobile solutions, there is an alternative way to check via the «Dія» app or portal. To view the status of settlements, the following steps must be taken:

  • Go to the «For Entrepreneurs» section.
  • Select the «Payment of taxes and fees» item.
  • Click on the «Budget settlements» option.

This method allows you to get the necessary information without logging into the full cabinet, which is especially convenient when you need to quickly check data on the go.

What will change in 2026

It is worth noting that the digitalization of tax administration continues. In 2026, a new tax payment service is planned to be launched in the «Dія» app. The updated functionality will show not only debt amounts but also provide data on the entrepreneur's property, as well as send automatic notifications about approaching payment deadlines. This will allow businesses to plan financial flows even more effectively and avoid overdue payments.
