In July, internally displaced persons (IDPs) will continue to receive state financial support without changes in the payment amounts. However, for some displaced persons, the continuation of aid depends on the timely updating of personal data. Ignoring this requirement may lead to the suspension of payments.
This information is confirmed by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 709, as reported by RBC-Ukraine.
Schedule and conditions of payment
The payment mechanism remains the same: funds are transferred to recipients' accounts in two stages — by the 15th and by the 28th of each month. The specific date of crediting to the account depends on the operational processes of banks and the work of the treasury service.
State support is provided to vulnerable categories of IDPs for a period of up to 30 months from the date of the first application for assistance.
Criteria for resumption and risks of suspension
Special attention should be paid to the procedure for resuming payments after their possible suspension or refusal. The key criterion in this case is the income level: it must not exceed 10,380 hryvnias per person.
If a displaced person fails to provide current income information on time, payments may be stopped. This highlights the importance of prompt interaction with social services to maintain recipient status.
New initiatives for IDP support
Alongside monetary payments, other areas of support for displaced persons are developing in Ukraine. Recently, a pilot project for social housing for IDPs was officially launched. As part of this initiative, local communities will purchase vacant residential houses and transfer them to displaced persons for permanent residence.
In addition, the Verkhovna Rada adopted draft law No. 12301, which comprehensively updates legislation in the field of working with internally displaced persons. The new law, in particular, allows displaced persons to exercise their rights regardless of the fact of official registration at the place of residence.
