Ukrainian comedian and TV host Ihor Lastochkin, who is currently serving in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has caught public attention in an unusual way. The star of the popular project “League of Laughter” published a fresh video on his Instagram social media page, recorded right at a frontline position inside a trench.

An Unusual Fundraising Format

This time, the artist decided to combine a creative approach with pressing frontline needs. In the frame, Lastochkin appeared in full gear — in military uniform, body armor, and a protective helmet. Inside the tight space of the field trench, he performed an energetic impromptu dance to the upbeat track Mi Chico by artist DJ Goja.

As the serviceman himself explained in the caption to the publication, the entertainment content pursues a very specific and important goal. In this original way, he decided to motivate subscribers and concerned citizens to join in raising funds to purchase an off-road vehicle (pickup truck) for his unit. “I give you a dance, you drop a donation for the pickup,” the defender urged concisely and with humor.

Reaction of Ukrainian Stars and Public

The publication instantly sparked a wave of positive emotions and active discussion online. In less than a day, the post gathered hundreds of comments in which users thank the comedian for defending the country and maintaining a positive attitude. Famous Ukrainian show business figures also joined the wave of support, in particular TV host Andriy Bednyakov, who left a comment under the video.

It is worth recalling that Ihor Lastochkin officially announced his mobilization into the Ukrainian army in February 2025. Back then, he shared a photo of his military ID and weapon with subscribers. Currently, the defender serves as part of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar”. Having started as an FPV drone operator, he now holds the position of aerial reconnaissance platoon commander, continuing to perform combat missions at the front.
