Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a stern warning to citizens: instead of peace talks, Russia is choosing the path of missile strikes. In his address, he urged Ukrainians to be extremely attentive to air raid alarms — both today and in the coming days.

"We understand who we are dealing with"

"Every single day — today and in the following days — please pay attention to air raid alarms. We understand who we are dealing with and what Russia is counting on," Zelenskyy stated. According to him, Moscow has no other "cards" besides missiles. The only support for Ukrainians is their own strength, vigilance, and care for life.

Threat of 'Oreshnik': what is known so far

The Air Force of Ukraine has already warned that on Friday, June 12, there is a high probability of a strike by the medium-range ballistic missile "Oreshnik". Citizens are advised not to ignore alarm signals for the next 24 hours.

Recall that on the night of May 24, Russia launched a massive combined strike on the country. According to the Air Force, the occupiers launched 600 drones of various types and 90 missiles — including "Oreshnik" missiles. President Zelenskyy confirmed that two such missiles were used that night: one fell in the Bila Tserkva area, the other — on the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region.

Kremlin's position: "see how the blocks fall"

Russian leader Vladimir Putin, commenting on the "Oreshnik" strike on the occupied part of the Donetsk region, stated that it was carried out "to see how the blocks fall." This statement caused a wide resonance and criticism from Ukraine's international partners.

What should citizens do?

Zelenskyy reiterated once again: every person's life is a priority. It is necessary to strictly follow civil defense instructions, know the nearest shelters, and not disregard alarm signals. The situation remains tense, and only vigilance can save lives.
