Monaco's investigative authorities and the international police agency Interpol have identified the main suspect in the attempted murder of Ukrainian businessman Vadim Yermolaev. The investigation has focused on Anastasia Berezovskaya, a Ukrainian citizen currently residing in Germany.
Red Notice and the Suspect's Identity
On July 2, the Monaco Public Prosecutor's Office authorized the woman's arrest. Consequently, an Interpol "Red Notice" was issued—the most serious form of international wanted notice. According to law enforcement data, Berezovskaya is approximately 30 years old. Prosecutors allege that she is the one who left a package containing explosives in front of the oligarch's home in Monte Carlo.
Investigators note that during the commission of the crime, the woman attempted to conceal her identity. She was wearing a black hat, which initially confused witnesses and law enforcement officers. As a result, initial theories of the investigation suggested that the perpetrator was a man.
Details of the Explosion and Aftermath
The tragic event occurred on June 29. An unidentified individual left a backpack at the entrance to a residential building in Monte Carlo and fled. Shortly after, a powerful explosion was heard. The incident injured three people: Vadim Yermolaev himself, his companion, and the businessman's 13-year-old son.
During the subsequent investigation, French law enforcement officials clarified the legal qualification of the crime. While the incident was initially considered a terrorist act, the investigation is now officially treating it as an attempted murder. Work to identify all possible participants in the attack and the circumstances surrounding the organization of the explosion continues.

Parallel to the search for the direct perpetrator, Monaco's investigative authorities are examining the motives and organizers of the crime. Specifically, it has become known that the investigation suspects the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) of involvement in the attempted murder of the oligarch.
