Israel has passed intelligence data to the United States indicating a new Iranian plan to eliminate President Donald Trump. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing The Wall Street Journal.
According to informed sources, the Israeli side provided Washington with information regarding Tehran's latest preparations. For years, Iran has openly stated its intention to avenge Trump for the killing of Qasem Soleimani, a general of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which occurred during the American leader's first term in office.
Reactions and Trump's Statements
The Israeli Embassy in Washington declined to comment on the transfer of intelligence data. The Iranian mission to the UN also did not respond to journalists' requests for comment on this issue.
Donald Trump himself touched upon the topic of threats to his life on Wednesday in Ankara. Speaking to the press, he stated that his name appears on all lists of targets for elimination.
"They want to eliminate the leader of the US — me. I am on every list. I saw this morning — I am on every one of their lists. So far, I have perhaps been a bit lucky, but this may not last long," the president noted.
Tensions are also rising against the backdrop of public events in Iran. At the funeral of the slain Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, attendees chanted calls for Trump's death, unfurling a banner with the inscription "We will kill Trump".
Series of Assassination Attempts
The situation is exacerbated by the fact that assassination attempts on the head of state have become regular in recent times. Recently, law enforcement authorities detained a group of eight people accused of preparing a terrorist attack for Trump's birthday. The suspects planned to attack a crowd using drones and sniper fire during a UFC show that was supposed to take place near the White House.
Another incident occurred on April 25 during the president's dinner with journalists. An armed man was detained, and shots were fired.
Furthermore, in February 2026, a court sentenced a man to life imprisonment who, back in September 2024, attempted to shoot Trump on a golf course in Florida.
One of the most resonant cases remains the assassination attempt during the rally in Butler. At that time, a bullet flew within centimeters of the president, grazing his ear.
