On the night of October 13, 2026, the Lviv region suffered a massive attack by hostile jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicles. Settlements in the region came under fire, including the village of Murovane, where falling debris and subsequent fires severely damaged private residential buildings and local residents' vehicles.

Night Strike and the Rescue of a Doctor's Family

One of the hardest-hit properties belonged to Yuriy Mahola, a urologist at St. Panteleimon Hospital, which is part of the First Medical Association of Lviv. According to the medic, he was inside the building at the time of the strike. The jet UAV impact completely blew off the roof, collapsed the walls and second-floor ceilings, leaving the house completely uninhabitable.

Miraculously, there were no human casualties. The day before the attack, the doctor had prudently evacuated his wife and children to relatives in a safe place. Yuriy Mahola himself managed to escape from the burning building through a window, suffering only a hand burn. However, the fire completely destroyed both family cars and all personal property.

Authorities' Reaction and Scale of Destruction

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi promptly responded to the incident, confirming the destruction of the medical worker's home. City authorities promised to provide all necessary assistance to the affected family, and the doctor's colleagues from the First Medical Association have already launched a support and fundraising campaign.

Threat of New Attacks and Security Measures

The city head emphasized that this was the second jet drone attack on Lviv and its surrounding areas in recent days. The previous similar incident was recorded on October 10. Due to the escalation and changing nature of air threats, local authorities and specialized services are working to strengthen the region's defense systems, details of which are classified for security reasons.
