Jude Law, one of the most influential British actors of our time, is preparing to embark on a new path. The celebrity, known to the public for roles as intellectual detectives and charismatic aristocrats, will head the cast of an upcoming action thriller. In the new film, he will appear as a getaway driver caught up in a deadly story.

Screenplay by an Oscar Nominee

The project was first presented to the general public during the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The screenplay is being worked on by Zak Bailyn — an author whose name is already familiar to audiences from successful projects. Bailyn worked on the miniseries "Black Rabbit," participated in the creation of the film "Blood Leader," and was nominated for an Oscar for the screenplay for the drama "King Richard".

The plot of the new film is built on a classic but always relevant conflict. The main character receives a seemingly elementary assignment: to deliver a passenger from point A to point B. However, the journey turns into a nightmare where every turn of the road brings new threats. What was supposed to be routine turns into a real struggle for survival.

Unexpected career turn

Producers emphasize that this film will be something fundamentally new for Jude Law. Despite a rich resume, the actor has previously worked almost exclusively outside the genre of dynamic action movies. The idea for the project was born during the work on the film "Blood Leader," where Law participated in large-scale car chases. It was then that he became interested in the genre and, together with the producers, began to develop the concept of a new thriller.

The production of the film is handled by "Riff Raff Entertainment," co-founded by Jude Law himself. For now, the creators are keeping the final title of the film and the exact date of its premiere a secret.

The path to fame and personal life

Jude Law is rightfully considered a legend of British cinema. During his career, he has been nominated for the "Oscar" award twice — for his roles in the films "The Talented Mr. Ripley" and "Cold Mountain". However, mass popularity came to him thanks to other projects: the Sherlock Holmes detective stories, the comedy "The Holiday," the drama "Closer," the series "Young Pope," as well as participation in the "Fantastic Beasts" and "Captain Marvel" franchises.

The actor's personal life is no less eventful than his creative one. In 1997, he married actress Sadie Frost, with whom he has three children, but the marriage broke up in 2003. After the divorce, Law had several high-profile romances, including an engagement to Sienna Miller, which also did not end in marriage. The actor has two more children from previous relationships.

In 2019, Jude Law married for the second time — to psychologist Philippa Coan. The couple lead a private life and rarely share details of their family life. To date, the actor is the father of seven children.
