For the first time since the start of the full-scale war, the Khramovo Airport in Kaliningrad has introduced restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement from Rosaviatsia. The company's press service emphasized that the measures were taken to ensure flight safety.

According to airport data, as of 19:30, three flights are delayed for departure—two from St. Petersburg and one from Perm. A flight from Nizhny Novgorod is arriving in Kaliningrad with a delay. Social media reports indicate that dozens of flights are currently airborne and unable to land at the airport.

It is worth noting that the distance from Khramovo to the border with Ukraine exceeds 800 km. Nevertheless, restrictions have been imposed specifically in this region, raising questions among experts and passengers.

Recall that in early June, Russia plans to almost completely close the airspace over Moscow for civil aviation. Restrictions will affect flights at altitudes up to 5100 meters. However, the aggressor state has provided for a number of exceptions: the ban will not apply to regular and charter passenger flights operating to and from airports.

Recently, 13 airports in southern Russia were shut down after a drone, according to Russian reports, allegedly hit the air navigation service building in Rostov-on-Don. As a result, more than 80 flights were delayed or canceled, and at least 14,000 passengers were stranded in waiting areas.
