The Lviv football club Karpaty is undergoing a major squad overhaul, transforming into a true exporter of talent. Within just two days, the team parted ways with two key figures, sending them to the Czech Republic. These deals not only change the balance of power in the Ukrainian Premier League but also bring significant financial income to the Lviv club.

Record-Breaking Goalkeeper Sale

It all started with a sensation on the goalkeeping line. 19-year-old Nazar Domchak, who became one of the season's discoveries, left his home club to join Prague's Slavia. The deal was worth 5 million euros. This is not just a transfer but a historical record for Karpaty, demonstrating that the club's youth policy is starting to yield tangible dividends.

Departure of the Top Scorer

Before fans could digest the news of the goalkeeper's departure, another loud announcement followed. The team's top scorer, Gambian forward Baboukar Faal, officially became a player of Viktoria (Plzen). The Czech club activated the buyout clause in the 23-year-old striker's contract, paying 3 million euros for him. Faal signed a four-year contract with his new employer.

Interestingly, not only the Czechs were interested in the Gambian's services. Kyiv's Dynamo and Italian Udinese showed serious interest in the player. However, Faal chose the option with Viktoria, which, having taken third place in the Czech championship, will fight for a spot in the Europa League qualifiers next season.

Transfer Economics

The financial side of the deal with Faal has its nuances. The Lviv club will not receive the entire sum. According to the terms of the previous transfer (in the winter, the player moved from Rukh for 500,000 euros), 50% of the proceeds will go back to Rukh, and another 10% will go to the Croatian Orient. Nevertheless, the total volume of receipts from two transfers to the Czech Republic in a couple of days approaches 8 million euros.

Statistics and Potential

Baboukar Faal showed excellent form in the current season. In total, he played 29 matches for Rukh and Karpaty, scoring 11 goals and making 5 assists. In the spring part of the championship for the "green-and-whites," he scored two goals and made two assists in ten games. Despite the fact that the Transfermarkt portal estimates the player's market value at 700,000 euros, the real price of his transfer proved that the market for football talents works according to its own laws, and Karpaty skillfully took advantage of this.
