According to an official statement posted in the Telegram channel of the Kazakhstani defense department, from June 29 to July 2, the country is holding comprehensive events to bring troops to the highest levels of combat readiness. The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that the exercises are planned and educational in nature. The main goal is to refine the practical skills of personnel and units when switching to enhanced operating modes.
Most of the events are taking place directly on the territory of military units and training ranges. However, the program also includes off-site elements: certain units will carry out planned marches to ranges and training centers. Due to the movement of heavy military equipment, as authorities warned, temporary restrictions on civilian traffic may be imposed on certain road sections in the regions.

The activity in Kazakhstan is taking place almost simultaneously with events in the Republic of Belarus. It was previously reported that in the Grodno region, bordering Ukraine, military commissariats began events to check the readiness of reservists. In particular, since June 20, the Oshmyany district military commissariat has summoned conscripts to clarify registration data. Information verification is being carried out at preliminary assembly points.
These events are developing against the backdrop of more extensive joint actions. In May 2026, Belarus and Russia already conducted joint exercises on the combat use of nuclear weapons. The current maneuvers in Kazakhstan and Belarus appear to be a continuation of the course to maintain a high level of mobilization readiness of the armed forces of allies.
