The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MESU) has announced important dates for the main session of entrance exams for obtaining Master's and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees. Applicants are strongly advised to closely monitor updates in their personal applicant portals, where all necessary documents will be posted.
Invitation Passes by June 19, 2026
By June 19, 2026, invitation passes will appear in the personal portals of entrance exam participants. This document will specify the date, time, and location of the testing. National exams for applicants will take place within the following timeframes:
- For Master's programs: key dates will be determined depending on the university and specialty.
- For PhD programs: the schedule will also be published in the personal portals of participants.
Applicants are strongly recommended to check the information in their personal portals in advance and follow updates from the organizers.
World Bank Support
The financing for the modernization of software used to conduct the NMT (National Multi-Subject Testing), EFVO (Unified Optional External Assessment), and EVO (Unified External Assessment), as well as the update of the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (USDEDE), is being carried out with the support of the World Bank.
This is happening within the framework of a joint project by the MESU of Ukraine and World Bank Ukraine titled "Improving Higher Education in Ukraine for Results," the goal of which is to increase the efficiency and transparency of the admission process.
Applicant Statistics
It was previously reported that this year, more than 102,000 applicants plan to enter Master's programs — all of them have already received their exam sheets at their higher education institutions.
A separate campaign is being held for those planning to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy or Doctor of Arts degree. More than 20,000 people have expressed a desire to take the relevant exams.
