On the night of July 12, Russian attack drones launched new strikes on the cities of Kharkiv and Dnipro. The attacks targeted civilian infrastructure, resulting in fires and casualties. Local authorities and the Ukrainian Air Force have confirmed the official information.

Situation in Kharkiv

Strikes were recorded in several administrative districts of Kharkiv. According to monitoring data, drones approached the city from the north and northeast. A series of explosions occurred around 03:14.

The most serious consequences were recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Here, one of the enemy drones hit a residential area. As a result of the attack, more than 20 apartment buildings were damaged. Two residents were injured, including a 16-year-old girl. Medical personnel provided necessary assistance to all injured parties.

In the Kyivskyi district, a garage cooperative caught fire after the strike. As a result of the incident, three people sought medical attention. Strikes were also recorded in the Saltivskyi district, however, preliminary data indicates there were no casualties there.

City authorities urged residents to remain vigilant, as enemy drones continued to remain in the airspace.

Attack on Dnipro

Simultaneously with Kharkiv, Dnipro came under attack by Russian UAVs. Drones attacked the city from the northwest. Preliminary information suggests the target was a food industry facility. Emergency services are working at the scene to assess the scale of destruction. Currently, there is no information on casualties.

Consequences of the attack in Sumy

While Kharkiv and Dnipro repelled new strikes, Sumy continues to clarify the consequences of the attack that occurred the day before, on July 11. The number of victims of the tragedy has increased: a man who suffered severe injuries during the shelling died in the hospital. Thus, the total number of deaths as a result of the strike on Sumy has reached five people.

Local authorities in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions continue to investigate all circumstances of the night attacks and assess the damage inflicted on the infrastructure.
