Football club Kharkiv achieved a hard-fought away victory against Epitsentr in the tenth round of the Ukrainian Premier League, securing the win thanks to a late goal near the end of the match. The game was played in a tense battle, allowing the visitors to maintain strong positional standings in the national championship table. The hero of the match was substitute forward Castillo, who brought his team three crucial points.

Match flow and first-half events

The first half of the match passed at a relatively calm pace with a minimal number of dangerous moments near both goals. The opponents acted cautiously, trying to avoid gross defensive errors and reliably covering open zones. However, in the second forty-five minutes, the nature of the game changed radically, treating spectators to goals and high dynamism.

Second-half goal flurry

Already in the 48th minute, the visitors took the lead: the home goalkeeper played poorly on a cross, which Zabergdja capitalized on, passing to Hajiyev, who scored with a powerful shot. Epitsentr responded in the 65th minute after Rojas delivered a deep ball to Kozak, who slotted it into an empty net. Kharkiv sealed the win in the 81st minute when substitute Castillo met a flank cross with an accurate close-range shot.

Standings and upcoming Ukrainian Cup matches

After ten played rounds, Kharkiv has 21 points and deservedly holds third place in the UPL standings. Meanwhile, Epitsentr sits in ninth position with nine points. Soon, the teams will shift their focus to the Ukrainian Cup: on October 27, Kharkiv will play against Mayak, and on October 28, Epitsentr will face Chernihiv in the Round of 16.
