Among the contestants of the 15th season of the Ukrainian reality show "The Bachelor" is notary and blogger Khrystyna Horniak, widely known to the public primarily as the former wife of TV presenter Volodymyr Ostapchuk. At the initial meeting with the project's host, basketball player Viacheslav Kravtsov, she shared her impressions and talked about the qualities of her interlocutor that caught her attention. For Horniak, participating in the romantic show became a continuation of the public story that began during her marriage to Ostapchuk, and she decided to structure the format of their first date in her usual legal manner.

"Sympathy Contract": The notary formalizes feelings her own way

At the meeting, Khrystyna Horniak offered Viacheslav Kravtsov to sign a so-called "sympathy contract" regarding a potential "the theft of her heart." According to her, the document mentioned an invitation to a date, the voluntary gifting of roses once a week, and eye contact during dates. Horniak also asked for "no drama" until the third date and stipulated a condition: if her status changes from "contestant" to "beloved," the term of the agreement becomes indefinite. This approach, in the spirit of her professional activity, immediately set the rules of the game in her relationship with the host.

First impression: Smile and attentiveness

Sharing her first impression of Viacheslav, Khrystyna noted his smile and the fact that he listened to her attentively. According to her, it was these qualities that caught her attention during their first meeting and set the tone for the further development of events in the project house. For the contestant, who had previously spoken publicly about traumatic experiences in relationships, listening attentively became one of the key criteria.

The past: Relationship with Volodymyr Ostapchuk

On "The Bachelor" broadcast, Horniak also spoke about her past relationship with Volodymyr Ostapchuk. According to her, after a year of living together, he became "quite emotionally aggressive," consumed alcohol, and "started hitting the wall"; she described this period as "very scary," with stress "to the point of vomiting," and added: "There will be nothing like this in my life anymore!". Recall that the couple got married in 2020 and divorced in 2022. After the divorce, the former spouses reportedly spent a long time resolving the issue of a shared house in a cottage community near Kyiv.

The host's role: "An advisor to both"

The context of the project's work was clarified by host Hryhoriy Reshetnik in an interview for the RBC-Ukraine YouTube channel, the text version of which was published on Styler. He explained that he gives "general advice and helps," acting as "an assistant and, in a good sense, an advisor," because "giving advice in relationships is very difficult and dangerous." Reshetnik noted that he motivates the contestants to show initiative, shares thoughts on the development of events in the house, and comes up with "some games," but does not disclose the personal secrets of the participants: if something personal happens between them, they must decide for themselves whether to tell others about it.

The path to reality TV: From "The Bachelorette" to "The Bachelor"

Khrystyna Horniak is a Ukrainian notary and blogger who became famous thanks to her marriage to TV presenter Volodymyr Ostapchuk. Legally, she kept the surname Ostapchuk due to difficulties with reissuing documents, although publicly she presents herself as Khrystyna Horniak. Earlier, in 2024, answering a question about the role of the main heroine of "The Bachelorette," she did not rule out such a prospect, but noted that it would require a serious decision. Now Horniak has appeared in the 15th season of "The Bachelor" already in the role of a contestant, where she met basketball player Viacheslav Kravtsov.
