According to reports from residents and monitoring Telegram channels, a series of strikes triggered fires in the city, including at a large warehouse facility. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a monitoring channel. The incident became the latest episode in a series of nightly UAV raids on Russian cities that have been recorded for several weeks in a row.
What is known about the attack
Citizens on social media reported a large-scale drone raid on Krasnodar: explosions, sirens, and columns of smoke over industrial and warehouse zones. According to preliminary data, the warehouse building of the company "TMM-K" (TsMM-K), covering approximately 9,000 square meters, sustained damage. This facility reportedly stored and sold construction fasteners and hardware, hand and drilling tools, cutting discs, mounting foam, adhesives, sealants, chemical anchors, and other building materials — essentially a major wholesale warehouse base. A satellite image of the damaged facility was published in the Telegram channel exile_plus.
The dual-use theory for the facility
Preliminary data suggests that the warehouse damage may have resulted from the effects of electronic warfare means or from a drone being shot down over the facility. At the same time, sources point to an alternative version: the facility may have had a dual purpose, making it difficult to accurately assess the nature of the damage at this stage. The official list of causes and the scale of the damage had not been published at the time of writing.

The attack on Krasnodar fits into a series of nighttime fires at industrial facilities. The day before, on August 23, a major fire broke out at the Izhorsky industrial site in the Kolpinsky district of St. Petersburg, where military enterprises are located. Even earlier, in July, an industrial park in vsevolozhsk near St. Petersburg was on fire, and that same month massive drone strikes on St. Petersburg and Tver triggered a large-scale fire at at least one warehouse of the Wildberries network. Thus, Krasnodar became yet another point on the map of such incidents.

Here it is necessary to openly lay out the discrepancies between sources. First, the material is based on the warehouse of the construction company "TMM-K" covering about 9,000 sq. m, while a number of publications (zn.ua, Rambler) report a strike on giant Ozon warehouses and hubs covering nearly 100,000 square meters. These versions may either contradict each other or complement one another if several facilities were hit in the city. Second, some sources (livekuban.ru, Rambler) claim that children were killed as a result of the raid, whereas the base text and the RBC-Ukraine report make no mention of casualties.
